This is a great, sturdy machine. I didn't expect it to be this good! I have another machine that I bought a few years back for about the same price. After struggling with it for a couple of years, I decided to look for a new one. This Threadbanger surpasses my other one by FAR! For this price it's an amazing deal. Delivery was fast too. You won't be disappointed with this machine!

I am very disappointed with the performance of this machine. It sewed through two layers of lightweight fabric easily, but would not sew through the hem of some blue jeans that I was trying to hem. It also has other negatives. The bobbin must be filled outside of the machine. This means that it must be taken out of the bobbin case(which is a royal pain!) each time the bobbin is empty and filled on the bobbin filler which is located on the top of the machine. I am sending it back.

Delivery of this item was like overnight!!!! Impressive service from Mr. Vac & Mrs. Sew-Thank You. I was able to thread and work a couple practice stitches with ease. And for never having used a sewing before this is impressive. I can't wait to start my first project on my new toy :) The construction is solid. The machine is everything it is suppose to be.

I am beginning seamstress. I needed a simple, reliable, brand name product from a dealer I could trust for customer support. The TB-12 arrived on time in pristine condition, and I immediately registered my warranty online. The manual was concise and easy to understand. And while it is not digital, there are more features than I will ever use. To test its versatility, I have already hemmed five pairs of pants, sewed curtains, and repaired a hole in my backpack. This was a great investment in my future!

Well, the third time truly is the charm! This is the third sewing machine I've purchased since my Singer purchased back in the early seventies died on me in about the same number of years (three). The first replacement was another Singer and the second was a Brother, both proving to be huge disappointments with limited capabilities (even with all the fancy embroidery stitches), particularly when sewing thick or heavy duty fabrics, such as upholstery fabrics, but not so with my new Janome Threadbanger. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive utility machine, i.e. ordinary, everyday seam repairs, hemming of jeans with the bulky welt seams or something that will handle heavy upholstery fabrics, this one should suffice very well.
And, as usual, Amazon filled the order expeditiously and I had my new machine in three days, all the way up in Alaska. Thanks Amazon!
