Strong mechanism. Two issues are: measurement conflicts on the design diagram, and in the initial break-in period the roller bearings will wear down the painted surface they travel against and the paint will chip off unevenly impeding the free travel of the mechanism without a little helpful push with your hand. Once all the paint is worn off it travels normally though. In general a good mechanism, but I hope it gets engineering updates.

Really, the manufacturer of this product is one of the few that make a sewing machine lift--and it is probably a wonderful lift, but there are no instructions or templates to show you precisely where it must be attached or how it works. Contacting the company didn't help much either--they don't have instructions but can send you to a website for a breakdown of the parts. I had to send this back and buy a sewing cabinet that already had one installed.

Glad to have found this item online instead of running around town or making endless calls searching for it.
